“Let A Poor Boy Ride” é um daqueles discos que, como o Vinho do Porto quando mais velho melhor, bem sei que a música não envelhece e que para além disso é intemporal, e foi por isso que a Crypt, pela mão de Tim Warren editou agora este disco, 10 anos depois de ter sido gravado no Sweatbox Studios em Austin (TX Usa), precisamente em 1998, tendo sido produzido por Mike Mariconda. Os The Revelators foram compostos por Jeremiah Kidwell dos The Litigators por Bill Randt, baterista dos New Bomb Turks e The Fells e por John Schooley, que penso não necessitar de grandes apresentações como “grande” músico que é, no entanto já tocou com South Filthy, R.L.Burnside, The Hard Feelings, para além de como One Man Band. “Let A Poor Boy Ride” é o segundo longa duração dos The Revelators, e como seria de esperar os sons estridentes do “roots”, mais próximos do “loud punk roots” são o refrigério sonoro existente neste disco, não só pelo “cheiro a mofo” que emana (interprete-se “mofo” como essencial) mas porque é um disco de escuta obrigatório. “Let the boys ride & spin…...

“Let A Poor Boy Ride” is one those records that like Oporto Wine, when oldest better, well know that music ageless and moreover is timeless and this is why, Crypt Records by the hands of Tim Warren, edited this record, 10 years after it was recorded at Sweatbox Studios in Austin (TX USA), precisely in 1998, produced by Mike Mariconda. The Revelators were composed by Jeremiah Kidwell of The Litigators, by Bill Randt the drummer of The New Bomb Turks and The Fells and by John Schooley, which I think not require large presentations, as "great" musician he is, however has played with South Filthy , R.L.Burnside, The Hard Feelings, as well as One Man Band.
